1 Book & 5 Graphic Novels

I have had a successful reading week, not as successful as last week but I have been reading nonetheless!

I am very happy that I finished a book and I read a few different graphic novels.

Sometimes I feel that I am too concerned with the amount that I want to be reading this year and that I am not focused on the quality of the materials that I am reading.

I am happy that I can read in different formats.  I think that reading graphic novels is great, but they are super quick to read, and they are not very challenging to read.  I do have plenty of books that I want to read so I think that I want to get into reading some longer formats.

I have an e-reader and I haven’t used it much lately. I also have an application called Hoopla which is from the library where I can get a whole bunch of books from there as well.  I have already borrowed some graphic novels from there which I intend to spend my afternoon watching, which is good and is ok with me.  It will take a whole hour to read all 3 of them, it is a series called Just Friends by Kristen Gudsnuk.  They are for kids, but they should be fun I am expecting.

I also want to be reading Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli as that is the book I have right now that I want to be reading.

I want to be able to read all the time or take more advantage of the free time that I have by reading or using it to crochet or knit more but that is all up to me to be doing that which I think is going to be great.

A part of me wants to think that it doesn’t matter what I read if I am reading but I think the quality of what I am reading is going to be great.

This week I have read…..

  1. Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera

  2. Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Sea of Monsters: The Graphic Novel by Rick Riordan

  3. Dune: House Harkonnen Volume Two by Brain Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, Michael Shelfer, Patricio Delpeche

  4. Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Titan's Curse: The Graphic Novel by Rick Riordan

  5. Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Battle of the Labyrinth: The Graphic Novel by Rick Riordan

  6. Wonderstruck by Brian Selznick

This isn’t too bad and I am happy that I am getting around to reading the Percy Jackson graphic novels.  The second Dune graphic novel just happened to be in my hands at the library just like the first one did, so I felt that I had to read it as well.  I don’t think that there is any more, but I am going to check that out on Monday when I am in as I want to be sure that I can get all of them read while the book is still fresh in my mind.

I am hoping for another successful week ahead of reading as I am expecting that it will be another great one.
