15 Books & 2 DNF's

I have had quite a successful week when it comes to reading, I must say.  I am happy that I read this much but it is better to know when something isn’t working out and to DNF a book which I have done twice this week.

I think I have DNF’d these books beucase I want to focus more on the books that I have here.  I may come back and read them later in life but right now I still want to focus on my Book of the Month Books that I have as well as the books that I have borrowed from friends.

This is what I have spent my time reading…..

Adult Books

1.      Interesting Facts About Space by Emily Austin

  1. Yellowface by R. F. Kuang

  2. The Good, The Bad and The Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto

Junior Books

1.       Kaleidoscope by Brian Selznick

  1. Dork Diaries Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renee Russel

  2. Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Popular Part Girl by Rachel Renee Russell

  3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

  4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth by Jeff Kinney

Graphic Novels

1.      The Sisters Vol. 1: Just Like Family by Christophe Cazenove

2.       Drama by Raina Telgemeier

3.       Nat Enough by Maria Scrivan

4.       Eerie Tales from the School of Screams by Graham Annable

5.       Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New School Nightmare by Carolyn Nowak

6.       Pizza and Taco: Dare to be Scared! By Stephen Shaskan

7.       Pizza and Taco: Super-Awesome Comic by Stephen Shaskan

DNF’d Books

  1. Magical Misfits by Neil Patrick Harris

  2. A Enchanted River by Rebecca Ross

I have laid it out this way to make it seem like I have read more than what I have but I don’t think that I have.  I read more at the beginning of the week than I did at the end of the week, and I think that is because I was more in a reading slump. After all, I was trying to force myself to read books that I didn’t want to be reading. I wanted to be reading something else and I wasn’t allowing myself to do so, and I was just wasting time trying to do something that I shouldn’t have been doing.

I feel a lot better now that I have DNF’d those books, I haven’t chosen a new book just yet, but I know that I will today and I will start to read that one.  I will keep you posted on which book that is but that is going to be in next week's blog post!

I am so happy that I have read some much and I know that this new week is going to be full of books as well.

I do not think that this week is going to be as full of books as last week was or well the past few weeks have been but that is alright.

The best part of this week is that I have met my reading goal for the year!
