Books, books, and yes even more books!

As a reader I have accumulated a lot of books over the years. It has been a hard process to get rid of them, but I still have a few shelves filled that I need to get rid of.

I also have a lot of magazine to get rid of as well but for what ever reason, magazine's are harder to get rid of. They could be considered to be a 'collector's item'. They are a collector's item to me but not to everyone else I believe.

I am a child of the 1990's, where I think wanting, keeping and having collectables as at it's peak. I remember that it was such a thing to have things, keeping everything and to find ways to make things stack higher and to never give them away. I have slowly changed my attitude about this whole collecting things. I would like to take a more minimalism or millennial approach to things these day's. I would like to travel for a long period of time and know that books and magazines will just add weight to my luggage and serve no purpose to do so.

We do have a lot of technology that can be multi purposeful and replace physical books as well. Having library's is very useful as well, you do not necessarily need to purchase books at all you can borrow thing. Having friends that will let you borrow is always a great idea. Thrift shop's and second hand books stores is another great way to get your reading done. There is many different ways to read then what I have done in the past.

What are your idea's for books? How do you get rid of them? Do you own any books? Do you only borrow or trade what you read? Do you use a piece of technology to do your reading? Do you read at all? Do you have it easy to get rid of things or hard? Do you find it easy or difficult to get rid or manage your reading material whether it be books or magazines?
