Have you ever found that some people when you are speaking with them they will say one thing but they really mean something else? To them it means one thing but you are thinking it is more of what they said not what they meant about what they have said? For example have you ever found that if some people says 'I'm exhausted' or 'I'm tired' or I have a headache' you really just think that they are tired but to them they think or are wanting it to mean that want to go home or they want you to leave. Sometimes you won't see or hear the hidden meaning until later due to well you just thinking something else and somethings it is more obvious.
Do you think this understanding is a reason why a lot of people get in to arguments and a lot of arguments could just be resolved be people just said what they mean?
I think there is also the other end of the spectrum where you could honest say what you mean but no one listens to you. You could be 'I want to be left alone' or 'stop doing that (I don't like that)' but you don't get left alone, some people may even go out of their way to make sure that you are not being left alone or they are don't stop they just continue to push your buttons. I believe it is much harder to deal with people in this situation due to you can't really deal with people in this situation you just have to put up with it.
Another 'code' that people may say is that 'I'm busy' or 'I've got work to do' or even 'I'm at X place doing X thing' to them it means that they are not available to to talk to you. They are not going to give you the quick answer to get you to be quite to go away. They want you to leave them alone for a little bit and when they get a change and are available they will give you the attention that you really honestly need and have a conversation that is not distracted. But you just want to the answer so you can move on with your life. Sometimes it is hard to navigate these types of situations.
What do you find of these examples? Have you ever been in one of these situations? Have you ever been in the position where you were in that was similar and didn't know how to navigate it? If so, hopefully this will help you in the future.
Sometimes it really is hard to mean what you say and say what you mean.
It would make things a lot easier if we could all be on the same wave length and we could all understand what you are thinking at the time and be able to just do what you or they want at that time. Happy navigating in the future!
