3 Books in 1 Week…Again

reading 3 books in one week

I have completed reading 3 books in one week again!  I have read Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Curse of the Titians and the Battle of the Labrinth by Rick Riordan.

I am almost done with the Percy Jackson series which I am grateful for.  So far, the Percy Jackson books have been well written, and I do like how action-packed they are.

The writing style does take me back to when I was a child and how action-filled books were.  Percy Jackson and his friends when they go on these quests, they are bombarded from one thing to the next and it is amazing what can happen in each chapter.

I have noticed that each book has 20 chapters which is kind of amazing and each chapter’s name is true to what happens in the books.

Taylor Jenkins Reid never fails with her writing.  I feel like she can do no wrong and is a fantastic writer.  I plan to read all her books and will most likely continue reading everything that she comes out with.  I don’t think I will ever like a book she ends up writing.

I am also reading Happy Place by Emily Henry and it is a good book so far, I have read a few Emily Henry books this year and they have been books.  I would like to read Beach Read by Emily Henry as everyone says it is a good book.

I think that it is somewhat ironic that I have read the Percy Jackson series, but I haven’t finished reading the Wheel of Time series, yet which is funny, but it is ok with me.  I plan on finishing the books, maybe not by the end of the year but hopefully by the end of 2025.

It is the end of 2023 and the start of 2024. I have read a total of 72 books in 2023 when my goal was to read 30 books.  My plan for 2024 is to read 75 books.  I also will be trying to read every single day in 2024 as well as no longer bringing in any new books as I have a Kobo now so bringing in new books isn’t going to be good for me at all.

My favourite author this year will have to be Taylor Jenkins Reid, my least favourite author will have to be Colleen Hoover and my unexpected author this year will have to be Gabrielle Zevin.

My most suggested book of this year will have to either be The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo or Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid, Tomorrow, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow or The Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin were amazing.  I would not suggest November 9th by Colleen Hoover, Not Like the Movies by Kerry Winfrey, The Guest List by Lucy Foley or The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.

Overall, I think that I have had a great year with reading.  I have started the year off by discovering the Hoopla app through my Library and ending it with a Kobo.  I think that I will be able to get so many books read this year due to my Kobo.

Happy reading everyone!
