5 Books & 10 Graphic Novels

15 books read

All of this is in part due to reading a lot of graphic novels and I am sure that when tomorrow comes and I can borrow 8 more titles through my Hoopla app, I can meet that goal by tomorrow afternoon which will be in next week's vlog!

This week I have read….

Books

  1. Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli

  2. Annie Bot by Sierra Greer

  3. Big Tree by Brian Selznick

  4. The Marvels by Brian Selznick

  5. No One Can Know by Kate Alice Marshall

Graphic Novels

  1. Tasty: A History of Yummy Experiments by Victoria Grace Elliott

  2. The Deep & Dark Blue by Niki Smith

  3. My Friends are Ghosts by S.M. Vidaurri & Hannah Krieger

  4. Dungeon Crawlers Academy: Book One Into the Portal by J.P. Sullivan & Elmer Damaso

  5. Just Pretend by Tori Sharp

  6. The Boy Who Became a Dragon: A Bruce Lee Story by Jim Di Bartolo

  7. Day Old by Joe Ollmann

  8. Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Last Olympian: The Graphic Novel by Robert Venditti

  9. Operatic by Kyo Maclear

  10. Swim Team by Johnnie Christmas

I think that I might also cool it with bringing home books from the library, part of it, was that I was just bringing home books because I wanted to meet that reading goal, but it is a lot to be carrying books around even if I don’t live that far from the library.  I just need to not overdo it each time that I go.  Also, I think I want to challenge myself, so I think the best way to do that is to step away from graphic novels and get into novellas.  I hear that James Patterson has a few out that I could read or maybe start to read some junior books like The Dork Diaries by Rachel Renee Russell or Diaries of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.  I mean I do have the Princess Diaries series which I could reread as they are short and I do enjoy the series, but I am not too sure what I should do the quick and easy shouldn’t be something that I should continue doing when I have so many other choices to be doing.

In closing, I think that I need to step up my game when it comes to reading and start to read something that is more at my ‘grade level’ and is longer format as well as reading books that are on my TBR before I get more books from the library but at the same time it is nice to be just a little click batty with it and say that I have read 15 books in one week.

I am going to be happy and sad to see my books go back to the library, but it will be nice to see things go.
