9 came out in 2009. The run time of the movie is approximately 1 hour and 21 minutes. The movie is animated and has such stars as voice actors as Christopher Plummer, Martin Landau, John C. Reilly, Crispin glover, Elijah Wood and Jennifer Connelly. I remember when this movie came out that it was much anticipated but didn’t get the attraction that it should have gotten.

The premise is simple, a civilization is dying so it must be saved. It is up to these tinker type toys to save the day. The last one to meet up with this group is number 9. He was the last one to be created, the last home that they have as no other ones will be made.

Along 9’s journey he meets some friends and has some foes that help him navigate where he needs to be going. Some of the foes don’t believe that there is anything that can be done, that what is done is done and that is it where those like 9 know that they have to do what ever it takes it get the job done.

When 2 finds 9, he see that 9 has an extra part, 2 takes it for safe keeping. A giant evil spider needs it so takes 2. 9 quickly meets 5 and the two of them go and find 2 and find 7 while they are there. They are able to fight off the giant spider there as well as getting the part back. When 9 puts the part into the area where the spider was big things happen that were not expected in any way and 2 dies saving 9. The extra part powers up an even bigger spider and starts our hero out on his journey. Before long 9 is able to find the lest of tinker toys that came before him.

Once they are together they soon realize that the real enemy is the monsters trying to make the big machine work and they are taking toys to help it be built. The toys that are left know that they now need to go back to where 9 woke up and speak with the creator of them or the scientist.

Once they are there 9 figures out what it is, himself and the rest of the toys re the scientist just split up into 9 different parts. 9 ends up beating the big machine and is able to let the toys how have died be released from machine where they were trapped.

After all the huge adventure 9 is the one that saved them all. After himself, 3 and 7 who are the only ones still left alive, now have a new world to create and it is there to do what they will with it and not the machines.

Would I recommend this movie? Yes, it wasn’t one that I had watched in a long while and I always have to ask myself why I haven’t. It is a cute, short animated movie that make you believe in yourself. I would definitely put this on my watch list if you haven’t.
