Your attitude and outlook on things are very important. It can determine a lot of things and can make things a lot easier or harder for you.
At the end of the day to me if you want to be somebody and go somewhere, not only do you have to pay attention, but you must care and act.
Actions speak louder then words at times and taking actions is what gets the job done.
Sometimes you literally must care about what is going on around you to make a difference with what is happening.
If you don’t care, then you will not get out what you should expect. For example, if you don’t really care about work and you start to arrive a few minutes late and leave early then when employee evaluations come around you may night get a raise but a warning instead. You might just well frankly get fired. If there is a project that needs to get done at home and you didn’t put a lot of effort into it, then it will show and come out half as good as what it should have been in the first place.
If you just don’t care about something badly enough then you just shouldn’t be doing it. There are always other chores, events, jobs, and creative outlets that you can engage in if you do not want to put the effort in now to make it worth your time.
You are always representing yourself and you should want to put your best food forward into all matters. You don’t want people to think that you are dumb at work because you keep making stupid little mistakes because you are not focused on the task at hand, or you are not understanding something because you are not making proper notes and reviewing them later.
You should always be present, in the moment and want to reflect that awesome person that you are.
If you don’t care, then why should anyone else care about you. If you were looking for a new job, what would you want your current or past employer say about you?
If your friends and family were to give you a reference, what would you want them to say about you?
You should always care and have decent ethics just for the sake of the unknown because if you don’t if could come and get you in ways that you didn’t now.
