It has been a productive week in the sense that I have gotten things done but in the sense of reading, it has not been.
I have only read I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston. The book was good, but the first half of the book reminded me a lot of Paper Towns by John Green. The second half of the book well I feel that it was more of the popular, rich girl just wanting attention from everyone because the whole town liking her wasn’t enough.
Overall, it was a good book, and I can’t wait for Casey McQuistons new book The Pairing to come out on August 6, 2024, to come out.
My favourite Casey McQuiston book to come out is Red White & Royal Blue. I think that One Last Stop wasn’t for me, but it was still worth the read, just not the first book of hers that I would suggest people read.
After spraining my foot about a week and a half ago, it does feel a lot better, it’s not 100% but I am working on stretching it as well as making sure that I am walking on it properly so I can get it back to ‘normal’ working conditions as soon as possible. I am considering doing some physiotherapy for it as well to help with the recovery.
Next week I have a big reading week ahead of me with wanting to read Middle of the Night by Riley Sager and then WondLa series by Tony DiTerlizzi. I watched season 1 of WondLa and it was so good that I wanted to read the books!
I am super excited about reading more and more books but after this, I think I am going to focus on reading more digital copies of books and books that I already have. Famous last words, because I have said this multiple times before! I just think that I have too many choices on my TBR that I tend to go to other places to find books which is why I don’t end up reading the books that I do have. I am going to try to downsize the books and TBR that I have right now to better suit my needs and to help narrow down my choice.
