This week I didn’t get much reading done but I did listen to more audio books, and I ended up listening to A Little Princes by Frances Hodgson Burnett after reading the illustrated book last week which was nice and for the 3rd time this year it was great to listen to this story again. I do like reading but lately audio books have been helping me out a lot with getting books done. I ended up listening to a non-fiction book which was great, I really didn’t know all of this about Rebel Wilson but it was nice to learn more about her, I didn’t know that she was into tennis. Another classic book is down the drain, and it was nice to hear what a ‘perfect’ society would look like.
This is what I thought of each book that I read this week.
A Little Princes by Frances Hodgson Burnett
It is a reread for me. It is worth it.It is about a young girl who had everything, became a servant and then got all her money back plus more and became a princess again Sara Crew moves from India to England to get an education. She finds out on her 11th birthday that her father had died.Sara now is a ward of the boarding school she was once a pupil at. Sara, has a good neighbour who starts to take care of her for 'Sara Crew's' sake when their pet comes to Sara's attic room. Sara brings back the pet monkey where she finds out that this nieghbour was a friend of her fathers and was searching for her this whole time to give her back her wealth. This is truly a classic good for me.
Utopia by Thomas More
This book is about the narrator talking to parliament about this Utopian society were everything is perfect and equal. There is no religion, crime of any sort but there is things for me and woman to do that keep it different and everyone has a place and it is just perfect or Utopian. It is a great way to describe a society that is just great in every way.
Rebel Rising A Memoir
I thought that it was really well done.
I really enjoyed hearing how Rebel's life was really, how she went on as a child, teen and then going
