Books, Crafts, Hauls & Dippits!

It’s been quite a week with books, crafts, hauls & Dippits!

What I have done yet again is that I haven’t finished a book yet this week, but I did end up hauling 4, 2 are for me and 2 are for the nieces. I got rid of one of the dust jackets for the one that I am keeping (Night Shift by Robin Cook) mainly because it wasn’t doing anything for me. I mean I have saved it in a sensible place because I want to be able to donate it and I want the new person to have it and it may go faster if it has its dust jacket but still it just wasn’t doing anything for me.

I picked up Night Shift by Robin Cook and The Secret Keeper of Jaipur by Alka Joshi for me to keep and to read. The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle and Goodnight Canada by Andrea Beck are both hardback books and I will be giving them away. I was thinking that I couldn’t not get The Very Hungry Caterpillar and have it just sit at the bookstore, I mean its just such a classic that I couldn’t leave it, I had to get it. I am not too sure who exactly is going to get that book, but you know, someone must have it.

Did I need these books? No, but did it stop me from getting them? Of course not.

Last week I received a bunch of yarn from a friend who no longer needed it, so I brought it home, spent a few days balling the yarn and well before you know it, I have this huge zippered clear bag of yarn that is going to be used for something. I am not 100% sure what I am going to be using it for or when I will have the time to be able to do something with it, but I have it and I know I will be using it for something good like maybe for crafts that I can sell at a craft show or something like that.

I have started a new thing call ‘Today’s Reading Dippit!’ where I will be giving out a small tip or what I like to call a dippit regarding reading and the benefits of reading. I think that this will be a great thing that I can produce on a regular basis to give to you all and it is something that can get me to start to read a bit more! Shorts will be coming with these soon enough, so don’t you worry about those!

I didn’t finish a book this week, but I did start reading Pageboy by Elliot Page which is good so far and I am really enjoying it. I am eagerly looking forward to reading the next few chapters.

Both July and August Book of the Month books came in this week, and I have started to read None of This is True by Lisa Jewel and it is surprisingly really good. Another thriller and I feel like there is already pinning the villain already!
