This week has been another busy week and hopefully the last full busy week that I will have for a very long time, well just for another week or two!
Sometimes I wonder how I can get so busy and live through it. Well, the fact of the matter is, is that yo9u just have to do it day by day, some day’s or moments you are screaming on the inside because you are so busy and you just want to sit down but for the most part you are just treading water, sometimes just barley keeping your head above water.
It is almost like somedays I was just existing, going through the motions and not really living my own life.
This is quite the change from a few years ago when it was a challenge just to get out bed in the morning and a struggle just to get myself to do anything. They are at both extremes, and I am striving to have something in the middle where I can relax and keep moderately busy.
Part of this is to make sure that I communicate to others what I want and to make sure that I am taking time for myself because if I don’t then I won’t, and others might try to take advantage of me. Due to having such a cultic group of friends that they might not all be aware of how stretched out I feel at times, so it is great that I tell them what it is that I am feeling so I don’t burn out ever again.
This week I did finish a book, and it was Happily Never After by Lynn Painter, and this is what I thought about the book.
I thought that this book was super cute. The book alternates between Sophie and Max. Max is a wedding objector and meets Sophie at her wedding when he objects to it for good reason. Sophie's maid of honour pays for it for good reason, and Sophie is very much aware of this arrangement and happy that it is happening.I rather enjoyed that both characters had professional careers and were able to do the wedding objection on the side, and they were in cahoots together!I would highly recommend.
I am happy that I was able to get so much done this week and I did end up getting some reading done as well. Thank you for coming along on this journey with me and listening to my ‘TED’ talk!
I look forward to speaking with you next week!
Happy reading everyone.
