I have finished one book and 2 graphic novels which does feel amazing, but I don’t think it is something that I can keep up in my life as one is a young adult book and 2 are graphic novels. I have finished Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhoughs, Roller Girl by Victoria Jamison, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.
I have lots to be grateful for and I am thankful to see that I am using my library card.
I think that I will restart my tradition of when I am at the library on Thursdays is to pick up a book. I am not sure if I will read it and it doesn’t matter if it is nonfiction, young adult, or a graphic novel, I just think that I need to borrow a book. I have also just put 3 books on hold which I am grateful for. Now I don’t suppose that they are going to be there next week, and I know that they are not going to be there all at once but at least there is something that I can get in the future. Just because I have put a hold on it right now doesn’t mean that I need to borrow it when it comes onto the hold shelf.
I now know where to look for them when they do come in as I am a staff member and they do go to a different shelf than the holds of a regular patron.
I am grateful that libraries do exist and that they are in a wonderful place that is happy and filled with wonder and is welcome to all.
I know that this is something that I can do, I just need to make sure that I am reading more than anything else in my life which is great.
I have made some efforts to read, and I do plan on reading a whole lot more this week and today. I want to take more time on my weekends to read and not be so busy.
I am thrilled that I am happy to read.
