He’s All That came out in 2021 starting Addison Rae, Tanner Buchanan and Madison Pettis.
He’s All That is an updated version of She’s All That which came out in 1999.
The movie is updated including social media and all of the kid’s updated convenience of cell phones and the fashions of TV. It also has a choreographed dance for prom but it really shows that a lot of dance movies come out since 1999.
The movie I think is a little bit staged and faked. At times I thought that people were more positioned to be facing the camera, a lot of the movie didn’t seem natural, I am not sure if it was the actors or just the style that they were doing.
Addison Rae needs to work on her acting as she in my opinion isn’t really that good. I understand why people were not impressed with her performance, but Netflix has signed her on for a few more movies apparently. In a way I think that she should just be ok with staying on social media and stay away from this side of the entertainment industry. I did like how she was hired for this movie because she isn’t the classic beauty. She is a little chubby and not the stereotypical thin and she isn’t stereotypical beauty either.
The general jest of the movie is the same as She’s All That except that it is two girls are making the bet to remake a boy to be prom king and she is falling for him by the end of the movie.
Rachel Leigh Cooke does make an appearance in the movie as the main character’s mother. Matthew Lillard also is in the movie as the school’s principal. It was an excellent call back to the original to have them in this new movie
Cameron finds out that he is the bet when he is asking Padgett to the prom. He doesn’t get the information that he wanted and runs off.
Another suggestion that I would have for the movie is that I would change Padgett’s name to something different as it sounds to close to the word pageant, which could have been on purpose as she is putting on a pageant with her social media and having a sponsorship (which does go away and comes back by the end of the movie).
The movie does have a happy ending and a remix version of the song Kiss Me by Cyn which is really nice.
Would I suggest this movie to others? I don’t think so. I would have to say that it is a hard pass for me. I don’t think I would ever watch this movie again. I would though watch She’s All That again and suggest that you do as well.hes al
