Just Because I can

It came to my attention the other day that just because I can do something doesn’t mean that I should do it and that you should be expecting it as well.

For example, just because I can afford to purchase myself a coffee every day doesn’t mean I should and because I can purchase a coffee for me and for you doesn’t mean that I should do it.

A friend should be your friend because they are your friend and not because you can purchase them things like coffee or a night out. Yes, it is nice of you to do it, but it doesn’t mean that you should. For me the last thing you want to do is to create an expectation of doing something like that because unfortunately there will come a time when you can’t honestly do it and you might be forced just to it anyways because that exact precent has been set.

Another example is that I may be at the store and am able to purchase an impulse item or an item that I don’t need but because I can, I do, and it may end up just being a waste of money at the end of the day.

You do not want to fill your home with useless items as well as empty your bank account to do it as well.

Not everything is about money so just because you can sit around all day and do nothing but watch TV doesn’t mean that you should. Don’t you have better things to do then to watch TV? Don’t you have goals that you would like to accomplish that requires you to turn the TV off?

Having the ability to not say no to yourself can be quiet the attraction but if you make the same choices all the time you shouldn’t be expecting different results. Make different decisions to seek out other results.

There is many things that you can do with your time, and money and you should take the time to really assess what you really want to be doing with it.

You do you and always try to be your best self for no other reason, but you just can!
