We all need to get along, it’s not that I want everyone to like me but if we have to spend a lot of time together like on a weekend getaway or if we work together then yes, I want to make sure that we get along.
Toxic relationships are just that toxic. If you find that you have someone in your work life that is toxic then I hope that you don’t work with them and if you do, you will be able to get them out of your life. If you have a toxic person in your social circle, then I hope that you have the power to not be around them and will not go on vacation with them at all.
Wanting people to like you just to like you, really isn’t something that you should want in your life and shouldn’t be something that you should be striving for but just try to be always civil.
Being nice to the nice, is nice. Just being kind is something that I want to be. Not that I want to be fake or kill with kindness but just to be kind and nice in general. Maybe its karma or that I know that what goes around will come around if not by that specific person but something else in general and that is something that I know that I don’t want to be around.
Communication is a big key in getting along with people. The last thing you want is to keep it all in and then when you come to your breaking point, explode and the person who you are talking with will not know how to react or know what they did wrong or how to behave, and the message will get totally lost. If you need to, stop the person from talking, return to the appropriate subject matter and just let them know your true honest opinion. It doesn’t matter if you end up saying the same thing multiple times, sometimes you need to say things 500 times to someone before they hear it and sometimes it doesn’t matter how many times you say it, they just will never hear you.
Just try to get along with everyone and be true to you.
