Old Friends

Friends come and go. Some stay longer than others, some stay longer than they should, and some are gone to soon. How do we make friends last? How do we rekindle old friendships? Is there a way to communicate something to old friends without sounding or coming off as intolerance? Communication can get lost and confused with signals crossing in a way that you don’t want them to be crossed.

Sometimes getting rid of old things is really like getting rid of a friendship especially if it reminds us of them. Sometimes it does feel good to be letting go and moving on with your life but there will always be a part of you that will wonder what if.

No matter what happens if you would like to rekindle a relationship that you have with someone you can always open the lines of communication if you like, I know that taking the ‘high road’ and taking the first steps can be hard, but it can be worth it at the end of the day.

If there is a friend that should not be a friend anymore then please do, make the effort to get them out of your life in the best way possible.

They say that you are the average of the five people closest to you. This means that you should be very selective of who those five people are, and you should want to make sure that these people are of the highest quality. Not to say that you can only have five people in your life at one time just make sure that the five people who are closest to you are the best ones that you can have. You can have as many people as possible in your life and still see others regularly but make sure that you are taking on good habits and leaving the rest in the past.

Gossip is never good for anyone and over time speculation can get worse. Always try to be the most in tune with what is happening and surround yourself with good friends that are both new and old.
