One Book Read & Seven Hauled!

I have only read one book this week and it was really good.  I read Incidents Around the House by Josh Malerman and it was great.

This is what I thought about it,

I thought that this horror book was fantastic. The formatting of this book is quite different, there is no quotation marks for the dialogue, the dialogue is all left justified. The story is being told by a six year old named Bela. Bela meets this person who would come from her closet and talk to her. Bela would call her other mommy. At first Bela's parents thought that other mommy was Bela's imaginary friend but they soon find out otherwise. Bela's mom Ursula, sees other mommy and knows that they need to leave their home and so the adventure begins on figuring out who other mommy is and staying away from them for ever.

I picked up 7 books this week and I like each one, I picked up…..

  1. Body Positive Power by Megan Jayne Crabbe

  2. Is Everyone Hanging Out without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling

  3. Why Note Me? By  Mindy Kaling

  4. Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald

  5. Heart of Darkness and Tales of Unrest by Joseph Conrad

  6. Persuasion by Jane Austen

  7. The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane

I am happy that I have been blessed with such an opportunity to volunteer at a bookstore and I have such great opportunities to get such great titles such as these.

I will be taking more of a look into the literary section of the bookstore more often I think.

I am very excited that I have found more classics that match the covers of the other classics that I have.  They will all look so wonderful sitting on my future new bookshelf together!  A lot of these titles I have never heard of before, but I know that they will be worth the read or even a listen if I can find the audiobook for them.

I am enjoying listening to audiobooks more and more these days and there is nothing wrong with that!
