Posting Content

Posting content should not be taken lightly as there are many different things to consider before you post. Some of the things that you might want to consider are:

Ø If people are mainly associated with your one online profile, would you want them to see what you are putting on your other profile?

Ø Does one profile ‘paint’ you in any bad light or a light that you don’t want the other profile to know about?

Ø In the future, would you want the two profiles to be combined?

Ø Will this come back and haunt me in ‘X’ amount of time?

Ø Are you ok with looking back on this posting and ok with it being there?

Ø You are a constant reflection of your family and friends, is this something that can and will look badly on them now or in the future?

Ø Is it damaging to my life or harmful in anyway?

As you can see, you need to consider many different things before posting content on your platform. You can always decide later to take things down and repost them after you have edited it or to just keep them down all together. Posting content does have a big responsibility and you want to be able to make sure that you are putting out the content that represents you and paints you in a good light both today and for your own future.

Part of posting content is coming up with a profile that best suits you and what you want to portray. Listed before are some things that you might want to consider when creating your online profile

· You must clearly have defined what your profile is about. You want it to be well-defined before you start. The profile will change/progress/grow as time goes on, but you want to know what you want right out of the gate. If you have more then one profile you will want to consider all and any cross-over and cross-promotions. Make sure you are taking the time weekly to build up your online profile.

· Different Platforms to have your online profile on. You will want each platform to reference each others in the description boxes and be linked. You want your profile to be found. (i.e., If you have a YouTube channel and a website, you want your YouTube video to have a link to your website in the description box and your website to have a link to your YouTube channel)

· You want professionalism all across all content and have all the best artwork in place to help better suit what you want your profile to look like. Potentially get a graphic designer, video editor, or a manager to help make sure that you are getting the right image across that you are wanting to portray

· Review, review, review. Make sure that what you are posted you would really like to be posted.

As you can see, there is a lot to consider and to do when it comes to posting content online. Make sure that you are working on your desired content and image regularly to make sure that you are having an online presents that you want to be scene and are happy to have out there.
