Purpose, Produce & Paunch
I have figured out three goals that I would like to learn and to keep in mind when shopping, ordering and preparing food.
1. I would like sugary and salty junk food to last longer then three days in home. Preferable I would like it to last a week. I can go days, weeks and months without this food in my home but when I do have them I tend to gorge on them. I would like to change the gorging. I would like to take the power away form the food. I would like to be able to live my life coexisting with the food that makes me go crazy.
2. I would like to be in the moment and action on the thoughts that I have to not purchase and consume the sugary and salty junk food that is there at the store. I would also like to be able to not purchase any of the impulse items that are there. I do not need to purchase food that I do not need and that is marketed to make me want to purchase them as well as have the taste of being addictive.
3. I would like to listen to my body and what is it saying. Am I eating because I am board? Am I eating because social constructs say that it is lunch and that is why I am eating? Am I eating because I feel like I have to?
So essentially I want the food to last longer then a few days, avoid gorging on food, this way I would be going grocery shopping once a month instead of twice, to not purchase items at the store that I don’t need and impulsively purchase and then gorge and then listen to my body and what my body is telling me, if I am not hungry then don’t eat, build up my own standards of what I need to be eating.
I would like to not be addicted to sugar and junk food. I know that I can do it. Everything in moderation. Things are going to get better, I can change, I can do better then what I am doing today. I can and will make better food choices that correlate with the way that I would like to be eating.
