This is the newest installment into the Marvel universe. I actually made it out to the theatre to see it and it was amazing.
The movie follows Shaun Shang who seems to be working as a valet at a fancy place when him and his friend Katy are on their way to work one day and a passenger comes and wants his pendant, after a bit
Shang-Chi fights them off but they end up with his pendant.
They travel to find his sister to tell them that people are coming for her and her pendant. His sister Xialing runs an underground fight ring where Wrong is there fighting but ends up leaving only to come back at the end of the movie to get Shang-Chi and Katy.
Shang-Chi, Katy and Xialing go to their father who has mastery over the ten rings.
Their father wants their mother back from the day but thinks that she is being hidden in her home lade of Ta-Lo.
Shang-Chi and Xialing have trained in marshal arts since they were young children to be able to fight now as adults.
The father is wrong about their mother being in Ta-Lo. It is a dragon that wants to be set free and the only power that can get it out is the ten rings.
The siblings get to Ta-Lo before their father and are able to get some extra training in before their father comes. Even Katy gets some training in as well with a bow and arrow.
The battle in my opinion is long, two long, it is broken down into three parts but of course Shang-Chi wins with help of Xiaing, Katy and the people of Ta-Lo.
The movie does flow quiet nicely. I would recommend this movie to others.
The only thing that I didn’t really like is near the beginning when the siblings are fighting the bad guys when they are escaping the underground fight ring (which is actually above ground in a high rise) they use a lot of camera tricks to be able to show what is happening in the might to also make it look cooler as well but I found it be a bit nauseating to watch at times.
I would recommend this new movie to other. Please go and see it!
