To Eat or To Not to Eat

Do you find that when It is a festive occasion that you tend to eat more? When it is a long weekend, you tend to eat more? Because of it being a celebration, of whatever is going on in your life?

Why do we often celebrate with food? Why can’t we celebrate with just getting together? If it is a cause for celebration why can’t we have experiences. You don’t have to be able to get something physical thing but you do need to be able to do something to celebrate the events and things that are happening in your life.

Do you ever find yourself eating a certain way or by not eating when you know you are going to have a bigger dinner? Do you find that you over eat before you go somewhere dispite it being ok to be able to eat after the event is over?

Food is something that I do not think is entertainment. We shouldn’t be idealizing it. We should be getting together to do something more effective with our time then food.

I think that there are plenty of different things that you can do other then getting together for food.

For example we could be getting together just for the sake of getting together, for a walk, adventure park or an escape room if necessary. There are plenty of other things you can be doing other then eating.

I can’t count the amount of times that I have gone out of my way to do get something for food and I have had to be able to get it ready as well. It is such a waste of time in effort on my part to have to waste my time to be able to do this when I could be spending more time on what I want to be doing in my life. I should be living my best life. Going out of my way just to be with you should be enough without food.

How much does food add to an event for you? Do you feel that food is necessary at events? Have you ever taken the time to think that we are being manipulated by society that just because that is the way it has always been that that should be the way it should always be regarding food and events? Do you think we are being manipulated in this way?
