Fun Fact
Cheetahs don't roar.
Cheetahs can't roar, but they can purr, meow, hiss, bark, and growl instead. This type of behavior is much like the domestic cats we keep in our homes.
Reading Fact
Geniuses read very quickly
The average reading speed of an ordinary man is 230 words per minute. This is about 2 pages. Pretty solid, right? Well, not for the sharpest among us! Napoleon, for example, read at a rate of 2,000 words per minute, while Balzac could finish a small novel in just half an hour!
History Fact
Micro Power
Most people can agree that singing birthday cards are kind of annoying. But tell that to Winston Churchill: the cards, which contain a chip that plays the song, hold more computing power than all the Allied forces had at their disposal in 1945. And your cell phone? Well, it’s got more power than NASA had in 1969—you know, that year they sent humans to the moon. But you keep on playing Candy Crush, don’t let me interrupt you.
Movie/TV Trivia
When Clue was released to theaters, each theater got one of three possible endings.
Movie/TV Quote
"Is this your king?"
Black Panther (2018)
"Wakanda Forever" is Black Panther's catchphrase, but "Is this your king?" is its crowning moment. Among the myriad reasons that Black Panther stood apart in the crowded superhero field was the characterization of its villain, Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger. Killmonger is no one-dimensional bad guy. He's a man filled with justifiable resentment, who calls Wakanda out for its isolationist stance that allows black citizens of other countries like the US to suffer. So when he defeats T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in combat and shouts, "Is this your king?" at the shocked crowd, it's fair to have true doubts about the ostensible hero. "Is this your king?" is easily slotted into any number of memes, but its staying power is the result of Killmonger's status as one of the best antagonists to grace the screen in recent years.
