If you had to empty out the bag that you are using daily, what would be in it? Would you be embarrassed of what is in it? Do you honestly need everything that is in it? in an emergency would you even grab it or fill it with other things? In an emergency would you grab it on the way out, what would you keep? What would you take out?
I currently use my jacket pockets to store the everyday things that I need when I leave my home like my wallet and keys. I do feel like I need a bag or a purse in my everyday life. So soon as I don’t have a jacket, I will need to start bringing a bag with me but now I do not need anything.
In an emergency or if I had to leave immediately, I don’t think I really need anything. I would like to have some things with me like some creature comfort items but everything can be replaced. I will be able to replace almost everything that I have in my life. There are some things that are not replaceable, but I will never forget them.
I used to carry a purse and over time it mainly had lots of stuff in it that I really didn’t need everything that I was carrying but I did feel like I needed them to be brought with me. I am happy that I don’t feel like I need to be bringing them all with me anymore.
Sometimes less is everything and that is all you really need. Your memory isn’t going to fade at any time soon so you will never forget what you really have or had.
If you take everything that you have and put it in a bag, and then take it out again to repack for a second time, what would you keep and what would you leave behind?
I find that I would keep most behind. I want to be able to only keep what is essential. I am slowly trying to get rid of all my stuff as I know that I don’t really need as much as I really do have, and I can’t wait until I am at the point where my emergency and every day bag is virtual nonexistent or is very small.
