Why and How

I have heard that if you understand the why deeply enough that the how to just takes care of itself. Do I believe this sure at times, but I find that it is a lesson that I keep on learning.

If there is a problem, then you should always try to fix it no matter the cost. Problems always do come up on occasion and it is our job to try and fix them. Work is work and it is something that you must try and figure out. You might feel at times that there are no solutions and that things are temperamental, but I am telling you that there is always a solution even though at the time you may not think that there is at that moment.

For example, I want to do better at work so I need to know why I need to do better so that way I can always do better and grow as an employee and get the job done. It is my fault if I get fired and it is my fault for not doing the job right and having to go back and make corrections. Taking the time to review notes and to make sure that you are doing it right is one of the best things that you can do. I need to understand why the mistake is wrong and how to correct, make a note of it so I don’t ever make this mistake ever again.

I shouldn’t want to make mistakes at all and strive to be perfect but to do that I need to have the ability to know why I am wrong in the first place to really be able to grow as a human.

If you want to go to the gym or loose weight, why do you want to do these things? Do you want to be in shape? Do you want to focus on cardio? Do you want to be lean? Do you want to be a certain weight? Do you want to eat better?

You have to ask the hard questions first, so you know where to go and know why you want to change. Change is hard for everyone including myself, but you can change, just try and understand why you want to and if you do, you might see yourself working smarter, going out to the gym or even eating better.
