Working Alone

Do you prefer working alone? Do you work for yourself or for someone else? Do you like where you work? Do you work from home or work in an office? Do you enjoy working independently or on a team? Would you prefer to work on a team? Is there something that you can do so that way you can work for yourself?

There are plenty of different reasons why people work for themselves or for other people. I prefer to work in a group setting but independently on my own so I can contribute to the bigger picture of the team. I can and have worked from home in the past, but I do enjoy going into the office a bit more then working for myself.

I would like to work on my own again, but I am unsure of how I would make that happen. There is no harm in trying something new especially if I enjoy the work and I would prefer to do that because you miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take and that you do have to take a chance on yourself. I have tried a few different entrepreneur types of things myself with mild success, but I do have a few people in my life who have done a few contract/entrepreneurs type of things themselves with little success and a large amount of success. You really don’t know what the ‘market’ or ‘community/society’ is wanting at the time but there is always something that you can do to make it better for yourself and others.

At times I do prefer to work alone and would prefer to work at home and well frankly never leave but I know that for my sanity and for the sanity of my partner it is best that I get out of the house, and I work. I am up to the idea of working at home at times and then going to public places like the library, mall food courts but I am not keen or like the idea of working at restaurants and cafés with my laptop.

Being flexible is one of the best parts of working alone and being on your own schedule. You can work whenever it is most convenient for yourself, and you can go and do whatever I s in your best interest. If you plan out your work week well enough or to me, it makes sense to work for a few hours every day so that way you can spend majority of your day doing what ever it is that you so much want to be doing in life like your recreational activities.

Being around people is very nice and being social but I also value my own personal community and like to focus on them a lot.

Working alone is not for everyone and is something that shouldn’t be taken lightly but it could serve as a good resource to have under your belt. If you have never worked for yourself then try it even if it is for a few days preferable a week so you can give it a good shot.

Ultimately, to each their own and you do you.
