Better than the Movies by Lynn Painter

This book is total rom-com high school romance at its best.Liz loves watching rom coms as it reminds her of her mother, who passed away, who loved them.Liz is in love with Michael from school. Wes, who is Michael's best friend and is Liz's next-door neighbour. Wes and Liz end up coming up with an idea to try to get Michael to like Liz and get them together for prom, and it does work just in time for Liz to realize that she likes Wes.Who goes to prom together? Who ends up together? It is so good.

First Time Caller by B. K Borison

This book is super cute. It is a modern retelling of Sleepless in Seattle.Aidan Vallintine is a late-night talk show host of Heartstrings, and Maya calls in one night to get advice for her mother Lucie.Lucie ends up on the phone with Aidan to only be a co-host of Heartstrings for a few weeks. Can they find Lucie love? Do Lucie and Aidan fall in love? At the end of the day, there is a romance that pulls on your heartstrings, and it is fantastic!

It has been quite the week. I meant to read Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter as well, but I didn’t get around to finishing it this week, so I will finish it next week, which I think will be fine!

I am going to attempt to read more this week to finish Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter and All My Puny Sorrows by Mirriam Toews.  Will I be able to finish them?  I am not too sure, but we will have to wait and see how it all unfolds!  I am excited that I have all these books to read and that I can be reading them, so I just need to carve out some time to read them.
