Another Jr. Fiction Book Down!

This week I have been rather unprovocative when it comes to reading.  I did end up reading one book this week and yes, I do mean that I read it and did not listen to it and that was The Dollmaker of Krakow by R. M. Romero.  Below is what I thought about the book.

The Dollmaker of Krakow by R. M. Romero

I thought this book was pretty good. It centers around the time of World War II.Karolina is a doll from the Land of Dolls where she is very helpful and likes to sew clothes for her fellow dolls. Some Rats invade the land but with some help from some friends they are able to get the Rats out of the land.Karolina become fast friends and she helps the Dollmaker create clothes and other things for the dolls that he is creating. You don't find out the Dollmakers name until the very end of the book. He wants to bring joy to kids by making them some dolls.

Near the end of the book the Dollmaker gets taken to Auschwitz where he encounters many things that no human should have encountered.Despite the bad ending to the Dollmaker, she is able to make the discarded dolls from the camp a second life to help the other kids.

Overall, the book was great, but it wasn’t what I thought it was going to be at the end of the day, but I am happy that I did end up reading the book.  I will be donating this book to a Little Free Library soon.

I do plan on doing some more reading this week as well as listening to junior audio books as well.

I do want to get back into the habit of reading every single day and reading a lot but I am not too sure how I am going to get the gumption to do that as social media and avoidance dos seem a lot simpler in some way but all that I am doing is wasting away waiting for my life to happen instead of happening to it.

Sometimes I just need to do something about it and go the extra mile, I guess!

Until next time everyone will be happy reading and I will catch you on the next Dippit!
