I have continued my trend of listening to audiobooks and not really reading any physical books this week and I have listened to 2 books this week.  This week I have listened to…

1. Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy

2. Going Overboard by Portia MacIntosh

This is what I thought about each one.

Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy

There is a lot of spice to this book, so if you are not expecting that, you can now!It is about a 17 year old girl named Waldo that takes a creative writing class in high school where she ends up falling in love with her teacher. After a while her teacher Mr. Korgy and Waldo do end up having a relationship. 'Korgy' does have a wife and child but that doesn't stop them from having a relationship. After Waldo graduates high school, Korgy leaves his wife and they end up having a relationship that is now more open. At this time, Waldo now realizes that power dynamic has changed as well as a few other things. She no longer really wants Korgy the way that she used to, she no longer wants to be with him.Mr. Korgy is now becoming insecure with thir relationship and is texting Waldo all the time.Waldo ends up leaving Mr. Korgy knowing that she has her whole life ahead of her.

Going Overboard by Portia MacIntosh

This is a forced proximity romantic comedy that is hilarious and lots of fun to listen to!We have Jessa and Todd who are at a friends wedding. Jessa hears a girl in the bathroom stall crying and suggests that she breaks up with her boyfriend, not knowing who she or the boyfriend is. After leaving the bathroom, Todd breaks up with Jessa. At another mutual friends wedding, Jessa ends up meeting Brody and they pretend to be in a relationship because Todd and Brody's ex Nikki, who was the crying girl at the previous wedding, are in a relationship themselves. After pretending to be in a relationship, Jessa and Brody start to actually develop feelings for each other where Todd and Nikki are just falling apart. Nikki is very jealous of Jessa as a person and for what appears to be having a better relationship with Brody that she had.The hyjinxs that happens on the cruise of this wedding is honestly priceless.

I really did enjoy listening to these books this week and I do look forward to listening to some more.  I am hoping that I can spend the time reading a book this week as I do want to get back into this habit, but we will have to wait and see.

Last year I read Morgo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thrope, and it is being turned into a TV show so I am thinking that I might have to tune into the show just to see.  I know that the show will diverge into something else, but I think that it might be worth looking into right now!
