Audiobooks & Short Works

This week I didn’t get to read much as I was taking care of a loved one and needing to have them feel super special.

When I realized that I hadn’t read much this week I ended up looking for an audiobook on Hoopla when I noticed that Bound by Ali Hazelwood was there an di didn’t know that she had an audio only book out so I decided that it was perfect timing for me to listen to Bound and boy was I right.

Bound does have some spice in it but it is mainly fiction and I do like how it is written and I do  like it.  I think that it is worth the listen and I will share my thoughts on it as well.

Bound by Ali Hazelwood

This audiobook is something else. I don't generally read a lot of dark academia books but this one is really good. This audiobook follow Vero and she is a Ph. D student who is working on book restorations and on the side and with a colleague they are making some book forgeries.Vicktor takes them to talk to Vero to tell her about a book proposition that he has for her. Vero or Veronica agrees to make a forgeries for Vicktor and along the way she is able to figure out what is going on and why she is doing it. Vero is able to come and go as she pleases and still attends school while making this forgeries. There is some spice and an element of supernatural in this book but I am liking the fiction and work that Ali has put into this book and how the main part of the book is about the books and not about the romance. The romance is definitely a subplot that doesn't take up to much space. Overall, this is why I do like Ali Hazelwoods writing.

The book was over all worth it overall and I do like that I found this book and that I took the time to read it.

Happy reading everyone and we will see you all next week!
