Finishing a Series + 1

This week I have read 4 books and 3 of those books were part of a series that I have done finished.  I am happy that I have finished off The Good Girls Guide To Murder Series, it is good and I would recommend this series to anyone who wants to read it.  I will be watcign the show as well and I will let you know my thoughts on the comparison of them!

Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson

In this second installment of a series Pip has found out another crime which is a disappearance of her boyfriends brother who is described as a gentle soul.Jamie is missing and Pip is asking for everyone's help but of course no one is listening to her or taken her seriously with it.As it turns out Jamie has been cat-fished and is trying to figure out who the cat-fisher is and why they are making him do all of these things. When Pip poses as the cat-fisher to try to pull the real one out, she gets more than when she bargains for and is in again, another dangerous situation that she is unsure of how to get out of again.

As Good As Dead by Holly Jackson

I thought this was a great conclusion to the book series. We have a lot to unpack with this book.Pip is looking for a new case for her Good Girls Guide to Murder podcast when settles on another local case, it leads to more than what she bargained for with it being a serial killer with 5 murders under his belt, being doved the Duck Taped Killer and with someone in jail for it but his confession seems lead.Max Hastings trail has come to an end and he has been found not guilty for what is he is clearly guilty of and she knows it.Pip gets kid napped by the duck taped killer who happens to be Jason Bell (Andy and Becca's father). Pip is left by Jason ducked taped in his businesses garage that is in the middle of no where (I am it is a landscaping company so it does make sense). Pip is able to break free and is able to get away but before leaving the premises Jason comes back and she attacks Jason and kills him. The majority of the book is Pip and Ravi trying to cover it up and have Max go down for the murder. Do they do it? You will have to read it and find out but you know, no one should use this as a guide to guide to murder but it does play out in a plausible way I think.

Kill Joy by Holly Jackson

This is a cute novella where Pip and her friends get dressed up into character and go to a murder mystery party at their friends Conner's place.At first Pip think her character is the murder but she son finds out that she isn't and that is a relief to her.Pip is taking all the notes she can as the party goes on and when the evening comes to an end she comes up with who she thinks the murder is as well as the motive, but she is wrong. It was Connor's character that did it!Pip had a good time but she really hates the fact that she didn't get who the actual murder was, but this does give her the idea of who she should do her school project on!

This Is Me A Reckoning by Hayden Panettiere

This memoir follows Hayden Panettiere through her life as an actress and what she has gone through in her life and I did like reading about it.Hayden started acting at a very young age and she has many movie and TV credits to her name.She talks about her relationships that she has had and 2 of them there was quite the big age gap with them. Hayden met the father of her child when she was only 19 years old and he was 32. He had a career in life in Europe but came to the US a lot. They had a decent relationship, had their daughter together but it didn't make sense for them to stay together so they broke off their engagement. Due to Hayden's addictions, especially to alcohol, she signed her custody rights to him. They are still on good terms and Hayden sees, talks and Face Times her daughter whenever she can.Hayden's last relationship she talks about was a domestic violent one that she was able to get out off.Hayden has been to rehab 3 times for her addictions. Hayden also lost her younger brother suddenly due to heart complications but she only speaks of him fondly.I wish the best for Hayden in her life and her future action endeavors.
