Graphic Novels, Crafts & A Rant!

This week I started off strong and ended kind of badly with not really doing any reading of any kind and I just sat and watched TV.

I did start off the week by crafting some keychains for lip gloss for my backpack and a coffee cup cozy but that is about it.

I then ended up reading 2 graphic novels and they were…

1. Junior High by Tegan Quin & Sara Quin

2. Pizza Face by Rex Ogle & Dave Veleza

This is what I thought of each graphic novel.

Junior High by Tegan Quin & Sara Quin

This graph novel is about Tegan and Sara the twin singers/group that wrote a graphic novel about their experience in junior high. They moved to a new place with new surroundings and needing to make new friends. Everyone had questions about them being twins and Tegan's name. They talk about even though they were identical how they didn't feel like that on the inside. The difficulties of puberty and getting their first guitar and decided to write music and perform.

Pizza Face by Rex Ogle & Dave Veleza

This graphic novel is about a kid named Rex who wakes up on the first day of middle school with a huge zit on his face.

He doesn't know what to do about it.

Puberty is something that you can't stop and as he is changing so is everyone at school and he is getting teased because of puberty.   One day he trips in the cafeteria after getting his pizza lunch and a pepperoni lands on his lens and everyone starts calling him pizza face.

Soon everyone else in his class starts to go through puberty and the teasing stops.

I do need to finish listening to some books as they are about to return and I cannot renew them and I had and still have time to finish them so I might as well get right on that!  I really do hop that I can get all the reading done this week that I want but I am the one who can decide and make those changes right!

Here is to a big week of reading!  Happy reading everyone and I will see you on the next Dippit!
