Narnia Series Complete!

This week I have read 3 books and I have completed reading the chronicles of Naria series which is a feet within itself and I am happy that I have read these books.  The books I read this week are…

1. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis

2. The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis

3. The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis

This is what I thought about them.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis

This book now has to be one of my favourite Narnia books.Edmond, Lucy and their cousin Eustace make their way into Narnia through a painting on the wall of Lucy's room that is a picture of a boat that looks Narnian in the middle of the sea.Once in Narnia, Eustace is just awful, he is a practical boy and just doesn't understand why he is there or how anything works. The boat in the painting is the Dawn Treader which is captained by King Caspian. Caspian is on a mission to seek out his fathers friends to make sure that they are all right. Eustace gets turned into a dragon and Aslan helps him shed his dragon skin and gets back to the group of people. The group is able to find all of King Caspian's fathers friends and the islands that they go to are all unique. They even sail to the end of Narnia where Reepicheep the mouse sacrfices himself once there to spend the rest of his life in Aslans land. Here is when Edmond and Lucy get told that they will not be coming back to Narnia but doesn't say anything to Eustace.Once back in the UK Edmond, Lucy and Eustace talk much of their adventures in Narnia.

The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis

This book is good. I particularly enjoyed the character of Puddleglum the mashwiggle. I think that he stole the sow completely. In this book we are following Eustis and Jill Poole who is Eustis friend from school. Together they go on many adventures in Narnia but they are on a mission to find King Caspians son Prince Rilain. It has been about 60 years since Eustis has been in Narnia so Caspian is quite old. Prince Rilain has been under a spell by The Lady of the Green Kirtle in the Underland and was found in the Silver Chair. They have to kill the queen in order to leave and once out they reunite the father and son.Aslan allows Caspian to come to our world for 5 of our minutes before Caspian passes away. Overall it was a good book.

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis

This book is very much a world ending kind of a book but everyone does come back or this book in the end.The book starts off with Shift the ape and Puzzle the donkey. Together they find an old lions skin. Shift makes Puzzle wear it and from afar people think that Aslan has returned to Narnia but it is really just Puzzle. There is one last battle in Narnia to find out who really is king and Jill and Eustis are in Narnia are there to help fight in this battle. At the end we have Lord Diggery and Queen Polly who were in the book The Magicians Nephew, Queen Jill and King Eustace, and Queen Lucy, King Peter and King Edmond who have come to see Narnia become just a mirror of a dream world as Aslan makes it so.It was nice that almost everyone came back to Narnia just one last time to see it go.

It has been nice to finally finish reading the Narnia series and to be in the know-how about what is going on with this book.  I really did enjoy the book, and I think that it is worth reading.  I would recommend reading these books for sure or just revisiting them.  I swear that it was just coincidence that I ended up reading this book series so close to easter.  I just wanted to read a series by the end of March!

I am not to sure which book series I am going to read next, but I know that it will be fun to listen to do so.

I am hoping that I can get back into reading actual books as well!

Until next time, happy reading everyone and I will see you on the next Dippit!
