This week it has been a good week with reading 2 books. I have read…
Impulse by Ellen Hopkins
Perfect by Ellen Hopkins
These books are written in a poetry format and are written in the same timeline as each other. They are well done and I would highly recommend them. There are some trigger warnings with these books so I would keep that in mind when you go to read them.
This is what I thought of each book.
Impulse by Ellen Hopkins
I thought this book was good. I particularly enjoyed that it was written in poetry. I wouldn't have normally picked up a book like this but I am happy that I did. This book follows Vanessa, Conner and Tony on their mental health journeys and the troubles that youths have today. There is some big trigger warnings with this book so I would highly suggest looking into those before starting this book.

I think this book was really well done. This book is of the same timeline of Impulse which I think is nice.We are following Cara, Kendra, Sean and Andre and their journeys as teens in high school and their mental health struggles. Each one is different.I was more in tuned with how each characters poems were different to them and how they evolved through out the book. There are some trigger warnings with this book but I would recommend this duology.
I really impressed with these books to say the least.
I have a few choices of audiobooks that I thinking about listening to this week and another few options for books that I want to read so I do have my work cut out for me this week in making a few different decisions.
I am happy that I have plenty of options to choose from and that I will be able to plan soon.
I am thinking of making a new cozy corner for me to read in which I think is a great idea.
Happy reading everyone and I will see you all next week!
