This week I have listened to 4 books, but I have come into a whole lot more books which is what I am hoping to do!  I have started to listen to the Chronicles of Narnia series; I have listened to…

1. The Magicians Nephew by C.S. Lewis

2. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

3. The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis

4. Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis

This is what I thought of each one.

The Magicians Nephew by C.S. Lewis

This book brings back a whole toe of nostalgia for me.In this book we are following Degrey and Polly on their adventures to this magical land where they meet people like Jadis the Queen and Aslan. You find out why the lamp post from England is in Narnia and how Narnia came to be.You also find out how the wardrobe came to be and how it has magical properties, as well as why Narnia is always cold. Although Degrey and Polly don't end up going back to Narnia they do end up having a wonderful growing up together.

The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis

This book is almost exactly like the movies. We have Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy who go to the country side to escape the London raids during World War II.The four children happen to make their way into Narnia through the Wardrobe that happens to be there.Once in Narnia they meet Aslan and they become kings and queens of Narnia after defeating Jadis the White Witch of Narnia.Together the 4 siblings rule over Narnia for many years before they come back to the lamp post that they have long since forgotten about and find themselves stumbling back through the wardrobe where no time has passed at all. They end up telling the professor of their adventures who believes them as he is ultimately the magicians nephew.

The Horse and His Boy by C.S. Lewis

I now remember why I usually stop reading the book after this one, I just simply don't care about Bree the horse or Shasta the boy, I really don't.Bree and Shasta go on an adventure through Calormen to Narnia where they encounter many adventures. Once in Narnia the fight a great battle with the other warriers in Narnia, Aslan as well as King Edmond and Queen Lucy. They discover that Aslan is always with you but will teach you a lesson if and when you need for it to be taught a lesson.

Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis

This book we are following tow different story lines until they meet up towards the end of the novel. We have Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy who come back to Narnia and discover that time has passed and get a lay out of the land so to speak. We also have Prince Caspian who discovers what his uncles real mission is and how he wants to take kill Caspian so his new born son can take over and rule over Narnia. The 2 parties meet up at the table that Aslan once laid and discuss what is to happen to Caspian's uncle. The come to the conclusion that Peter must fight him to help restore peace to the land and to bring Caspian to his rightful place as king. The battle happens and all has come to a good end. Prince Caspian is now the king of Narnia and Peter, Susan, Edmond and Lucy are restored back to England on their way back to school.

I am happy that I read these books and that I am looking forward to listening to the next 3 books next week!

Happy reading everyone and I will see you on the next Dippit!
