Weekly Round Up of Fiction

This week I have only read one book and that is fine with me.  I am taking my time with reading but with this book I don’t think I picked up as much as I would have liked to and I am feeling the same way with the book that I am currently reading but I am hoping that I can really dig my toes into the book this afternoon and I can really get a hold of this book.

I am excited to know that some of my library holds are coming in and I will be able to start to read them this week as well which means that some of my December reads might get pushed back into the new year but I am hoping that I can take some time and to really finish these books myself.

This week I have read Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz.  This is what I thought of the book.

Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore by Emily Krempholtz

I thought that this book was super cute. This book has some magic in it as well as a romance. Violet Thistlewiate has moved to Dragon's Rest to find the eye of the serpent. She is a witch and has opened up a flower and garden boutique to help with her cover so she can do what she has come to the town to do.Along the way she has made some friends with Nathanial and Pru. Violet's flower shop is next door to an apothecary and the banter that they get into in person as well as their stores sandwich signs is just a fantastic element to the story. Violet soon realizes that sometimes you may need to do something bad, but that doesn't mean that you are the villain but sometimes you need to do something bad for the greater good especially when you are the only one who can defeat the dragon! It is a very heart felt story which I hope to read again.

Overall I feel like I have had a successful week and I am looking forward to more reading next week.

Happy reading everyone!
